The Massachusetts State Police maintains and provides access to all police reports and arrest records generated within the state. The Massachusetts Sex Offender Registry Board (SORB) is the central repository of all convicted Level 2 and 3 sex offenders residing within the city of Boston and the state in general. Visiting hours at the Boston Pre-release Center is as follows:

Only pre-approved visitors are allowed to visit inmates. Visitors must download and fill out the Visitor Application form and mail it to the Director of Security at the Boston Pre-release Center. Visitors and inmates will be notified if the application is approved or denied.

Adult visitors to the Boston Pre-release Center must present a valid picture ID upon entering the prison facility. In addition to this, adults visiting with minors must provide the minor's birth certificate or any other record specifying the minor’s birth and parental information upon entering the prison facility.
